The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has a report that looks at incomes across all households. Above, I have plotted the total income for the United States.
Below, I have plotted the average income for the United States. In both cases income drops after 2000.

Technical problem. This is extremely frustrating, the information I am searching for is on your HOME PAGE, but I can’t use it because the two graphs, (united states total income) and (united states average income) are obscured by the ’search for graphs’ banner on the right hand side of the page. The graphs are right in front of me, and I can’t find a way to show the entire graph!!
